Leagoo T5c Specs and Price: The Cheapest Smartphone So Far With the Most Amazing Specs

Leagoo T5c

While it’s so nice to have a high-end smartphone in your pocket packing the most trending specs in the smartphone market be ready to make a run for the money when you are standing in a smartphone retail store, in front of the smartphone dealer asking for the price.

So many smartphones that are spec worthy are so expensive that one has to empty his bank account just to get one. Apple phones and Samsung phones will always make the whole worst by making phones with a price tag that can almost get you a fairly used car. That’s why, when I see a smartphone that its specs and features are appealing and the makers have the poor masses in mind when placing a price tag on it, I will always uphold the smartphone and give the phone maker some accolade.

These days, the number of budget smartphones have increased because smartphone vendors have realized that the majority of smartphone users don’t have the money to go for a high-end smartphone, so they all want to fill in that category of customers with as many smartphones as they possibly could. But one thing is certain, they can always come up with smartphones with crappy specs for this category of smartphone users.

Today we will be looking at a smartphone that caught my attention both spec-wise and in price. I am referring to Leagoo T5C smartphone. My friend, you won’t believe your eyes the type of specs and features this small, rising Chinese smartphone brand packed the T5C with. The most interesting part of the story is that the phone’s retail price starts at only 37,000 Naira.

Design and Display

On most budget smartphones you’d find a plastic casing but the Leagoo T5c has something different to offer. You don’t expect to pay that low for the phone and still get a metal case or a glass case, do you? But the T5c comes with a full metal body design, rounded edges with a 2.5D curved glass screen.

Nevertheless, the smartphone has a nice aesthetics and will always give the amount of premium feel you will get from a metal high-end phone.

Also, the smartphone comes with a front facing fingerprint sensor at the bottom of the screen and the capacitive buttons at the side.

One of the most interesting things about the phone is the impressive full HD display you will rarely see on a budget smartphone. The 5.5-inch screen is a 1920 X 1080 pixels display which is comparatively colorful when compared to its peers. This is accompanied by a pixel density of 401 PPI and a clear-cut visibility in sunlight.

Well, there are no surprises here as the Leagoo T5c comes with a 3, 000mAh Li-ion battery which is somehow the starting standard for most smartphone batteries from China today. A 3000mAh battery will not give you the type of long-lasting experience you will get from a 4000mAh battery but it does well to get you through your day on minimal usage and considering the type of processor on this type of phone, you wouldn’t be complaining about battery so much. And, when it is time to juice up your battery with a charge there’s a quick charge feature available.

Leagoo T5C Dual-Cameras

Taking pictures on a budget smartphone won’t be that exciting to a picture quality freak. But the T5c will always boost the quality up with its dual rear camera lenses. At the back of the phone, you have a 13MP + 5MP combo with a dual LED flash which takes nice pictures even in low light. The front camera is equipped with a 3P lens 5MP sensor for sharp selfie shots.

Hardware and Software

T5c specs

To make a smartphone into a budget smartphone, the makers have to sacrifice so many things to cut down the price and one of those things has always been the smartphone’s hardware. You don’t expect to be getting iPhone X-like hardware on a budget smartphone, but the Leagoo made their way around that a little bit. The T5c while not featuring one of those high-grade SoC but neither is its SoC low grade. The smartphone features Intel’s Spreadtrum SC9853i processor clocking at 1.8GHz which is very impressive. The processor in this phone is the result of Intel collaborating with Spreadtrum chipset maker to take the take the mid-range and high-end market shares from MediaTek and Qualcomm. There’s a thick battle going on in the mobile SoC market which is beyond what you can possibly see from the surface.

Also, you have a PowerVR GT7200 GPU handling the graphics munching on the phone.

In addition to that, you will also get 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage space expandable to 128GB by using a memory card in the second sim-slot. The 3GB of RAM here is not something you see on your everyday budget smartphone. It also runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with a possible Oreo update in the future.

Pricing and Availability

The Leagoo T5c is available for sale in various smartphone outlets at price ranging from 37, 000 naira to 55, 000 naira depending on the retail outlet.
