The Most Expensive Smartphone In 2016 Plus Its Full Specs and Pricing

You will be expecting to hear either the iPhone 7 or the Samsung galaxy S7 as the most expensive smartphone in 2016. Nah, those smartphones were expensive but their price tags are just kids compared to the phone you are going to read about.

The phone that turned out to be the most expensive smartphone in 2016 has nothing to do with the gold and diamond plated phones that will cost you a fortune because of the precious stones the body was made of. Phones like the Vertu model which are luxurious just in its materials and construction and not in its features and functionality.

So, which smartphone could that be?

It is the  Sirin Solarin smartphone. A  device that runs on Android OS  with  a bad ass top military-grade security.

Most Expensive Smartphone In 2016

It is the military-grade security that sets this phone apart from the rest. The details of this smartphone follows below.

The phone runs on an Android OS.

The phone has a special secure mode in which all internet connectivity is turned off and all features except voice calls and messages are disabled.

In that secure mode, all calls and SMS are encrypted using military-grade AES-256, FIPS 140-2 key in real-time. Also, in this mode, calls can only be made to another unit of the same model and for the encryption to work, both ends have to be secure on their secure mode.

While in a regular non-secure mode, the phone uses 256-bit AES encryption for some of its normal chip-to-chip functions.

In addition, the manufacturer provides real-time scanning to detect threats to its user’s privacy. Not only is this phone the most expensive smartphone. It just might also be the most secure.

The product has been in development for two years at the company’s facilities in Sweden and Tel Aviv and it has spent a huge sum of $72 million in the process.

The Sirin Solarin smartphone is powered by an Octa-Core 2.6 GHz Snapdragon 810 chip and 4 GB of RAM. It has a 5.5-inch display, 128 GB of internal storage, and a large 4040 mAh battery with Quick Charge. There is no memory card slot.

Camera-wise, the Sirin Solarin has a  23.8 Mega Pixel Rare camera and an 8 Mega Pixel front camera.

Price for this device starts from $14,000 and may cost you as much as $20,000 depending on how and where you are purchasing it from.

You will be wondering, how will somebody spend such an amount on a smartphone with that spec, right? Yes, people would spend even more just to get their privacy secured. These are  people that are so conscious about their security and privacy.

The Sirin Labs, the company behind Sirin Solarin said during that the smartphone’s launch in london.

“Our core customers are international business travelers, entrepreneurs, and partners in financial firms.” These people who communicate a lot have very high security needs, and that’s where Solarin steps in, featuring partnerships with security firms Koolspan and Zimperium to secure the phone and your data on it.

Sirin Labs is a new company in the mobile technology arena, its first launch is the Sirin Solarin smartphone.
