WhatsApp To Finally Launch Its Video Calling Feature

The multi-billion dollar app purchased by Facebook a few years back is really pulling some feet in the tech world.

Should I call this a move to knock out Snapchat or a response back to google for Allo? What ever it might be, the whatsapp will actually get some companies worried with their new video feature.

Back in May, they made it available to a little piece of its users who enjoyed it a little bit. Now they have fully unleashed it unto iOS, Android and windows devices.

When the feature is activated, which will be in some hours from now, just open a chat and select the phone icon. You’ll then be given an option to place a voice or video call. After testing the feature, I found that voice and video quality was excellent over strong WiFi, but don’t expect the same if you’re connecting via a mobile or slower broadband connection.

Whatsapp is pretty popular with billions of users. With this feature, it will be able to connect people all over the world via video calls.

For the fact that is runs on all the smartphone operating system gives it an advantage and a reason to knock out its immediate competitor, Google Allo.
